What a great way to stay in shape and show your school pride and share your talents by becoming a Maverick Cheerleader! We are so proud to say that Miller Intermediate was the first to implement a cheerleading program within the district. This program began as a way of introducing students to cheer and also as a form of collaboration with other campuses.

Our first squad was established in the spring of 2014 with a total of 18 girls who were eager to show off their school pride on and off campus.  Over the years our program has developed and the girls have proven performance ready to participate in district events such as the Family ā€œUā€ Conference, Alief International Parade, and Alief Proud Day.

As the school year begins, the girls practice twice a week to work on strengthening skills and techniques. We look forward to another great year at Miller. If you are interested in becoming a Maverick cheerleader, try-outs will be held in May. Look for announcements on our web page in the spring.

Go Red! Go Blue! Go Mavericks!
