Scenes from Literacy Night...
We had an amazing turnout of Miller families to our annual Literacy Night event hosted by Houston Urban League and Alief Family and Community Engagement (FACE). Families were treated to specular performances from our Cheer, Dance, and MOB teams. Miller Mavericks had the opportunity to do a quick write from a poem read entitled "Chop, Chop". We had 25 students share their writing aloud for the audience. Families won wonderful door prizes such as laptops, backpacks, gift cards and school supplies.
