Ladies of Distinction Organization was established at Miller Intermediate in 2009.

The organization focuses on academics as well as teaching the young ladies how to perform community service within the community. Ladies of Distinction is a strong supporter of the March of Dimes. Every year, LOD participates in fund-raisers to donate money to help fund research for congenital disabilities and participate in the March of Dimes Walkathon, which is held in April. Last year, the organization established the Lady Steppers, a girl step team.
